02Rates

Same rates on every plan

What does screenRIG cost and how is it priced?

Standard is free. The first 1 GB of storage and 10,000 agent requests a month are included, with free bandwidth and no per-screen fee.

Each screen keeps what it downloads and replays it from its own storage. The 10,000 agent requests do not roll over. The 1 GB of storage is the first 1 GB you store, free at all times, not a monthly amount.

Usage ratesRate, every plan
Bandwidth, downloads and uploads
Free
Storage above the free 1 GB
$0.14/GB-month
Agent requests and billed events after the first 10,000 a month
$0.0001 each

Rates in USD. Image generation is billed separately, by token; see Image generation. On Standard, extra usage is optional prepaid credit, in bundles of $10, $50, $100 or $1,000. Storing more than 1 GB on Standard needs prepaid credit. Without credit, uploads beyond 1 GB are refused, and content already stored keeps playing.

A typical library is far below 1 GB. See what fits in the free 1 GB.

03Estimate

Inside the free 1 GB: $0

Estimate your monthly cost

The cost is the storage above 1 GB times $0.14 per GB-month. Screens and downloads do not change it.

What fits in the free 1 GB

FleetContentCost
Café, 3 screens20-slide menu, about 20 MB$0
Clinic lobby, 10 screens25 slides and a 2-minute video, about 100 MB$0
Store chain, 50 screens30-slide promo loop, about 30 MB$0
Video wall network, 50 screens2 GB of video$0.14 a month

Estimates at about 1 MB per full-screen image slide and 75 MB for a 2-minute HD video, with the agent’s requests within 10,000 a month. A per-screen subscription bills every screen, every month. Here, a screen that loops costs nothing to keep running.

Worked example: 50 screens

Here is the cost for 50 screens with one 2 GB library.

ItemCalculationCost
Store the 2 GB library(2 GB − 1 GB free) × $0.14/GB-month$0.14/month
Upload and deliver to 50 screensFree$0
Agent requestsWithin the free 10,000$0

The total is $0.14 a month and the cost tracks what you store, never screen count or downloads, however often the content changes. This is an estimate before image generation and request charges beyond the free 10,000, not an invoice.

One shared pool per plan: screens, included usage and credit. An upgrade adds the difference for the rest of the month. A downgrade or plan removal takes effect at the next month boundary. Paid support and service terms come with a separate written agreement.

05Upgrade

What each plan adds

When should you upgrade?

Every plan has the same product and the same rates. Upgrade when one of these is true:

  • More than 50 screens

Premium runs up to 250; Enterprise is for more than 250 and has no cap.

  • People to talk to

Every plan includes documentation and support chat; Premium adds agreed human support terms.

  • Longer event history

For audits or troubleshooting: 7 days on Premium, 90 on Enterprise.

  • Contract terms

Enterprise adds an MSA, an SLA and a dedicated customer success manager.

See where you stand any time: the dashboard shows your usage, and your agent reads your remaining credit with screenrig billing balance.

06Add-ons

Billed separately

Add-ons, billed separately

Two things sit outside the usage rates. Neither is required.

Image generation

Per 1M tokens

Text input
$10
Image input
$16
Image output
$60

media generate is billed per token: $10 per 1M text-input tokens, $16 per 1M image-input tokens and $60 per 1M image-output tokens. Quality (low, medium or high; default medium) changes both the result and the token count. Each generation reports what it cost. Image generation is metered separately. Uploading your own images and local composition cost nothing extra.

Advertising

A 100-credit play

  • You set the price. Choose a rate in credits per 15 seconds of completed playback, with optional per-screen and per-slot rates.
  • Advertisers pay only for completed plays. Skipped or interrupted plays aren’t billed, and an ad slot with nothing to fill is skipped rather than shown blank.
  • The serving fee comes out of the seller’s side: 30% on Standard, 20% on Premium, 10% on Enterprise. On a 100-credit play on Standard, the advertiser pays 100 and the seller keeps 70.
  • Earnings pay your screenRIG bill. Ad-earned credits land in the paying wallet recorded at settlement and cover usage billed to that wallet automatically.

If you sell ads on your screens, screenRIG takes a serving fee from each paid play. Everything else is priced as above. Settlement rules are in the fine print.

The fine print

Metering, balances, ad settlement and payment terms, in full.

Credits and metering

  • Usage is counted in integer credits. One credit is $0.0001.
  • Each agent or CLI API request and each billed event on an agent or CLI listen stream costs 1 credit after the first 10,000 in the month. The dashboard is free to use: its own requests and its live updates cost nothing. A post to an incoming key/value webhook is one billed API request.
  • Messages to and from screens are free: toasts, single-screen reloads, screenshots, Player and runtime traffic, and screen.* and runtime.* events on the listen stream. Local composition is free.
  • A fleet action, one screen command with --tag or several screen ids, is one billed agent API request however many screens it reaches, fleet reloads and toasts included. screen screenshot --tag makes one billed request to list the tagged screens; the captures themselves are free.
  • Each webhook delivery attempt costs 1 credit after the first 10,000 in the month, like a billed listen-stream event. The same events are free: screen.*, runtime.*, application.event, playback.page_failed, and agent.command. An attempt refused before anything is sent is not billed.
  • Playback export: each JSON page of plays or daily totals is one billed agent API request, and a CSV export is one billed request for its whole range. Plays are kept for at least 30 days, or the plan's event retention if longer.
  • A gigabyte is 1,000,000,000 bytes, and we measure all traffic in and out but never charge for it.
  • Credits stay with the wallet that holds them, and past charges stay with the wallet that paid them.

Launch offer

Free to use within reason until 1 January 2027. The cutoff is midnight America/Los_Angeles. This is on top of Standard’s free monthly allowances, which are permanent.

Your balance

Your agent can read usage and remaining credits. Until 1 January 2027, remaining credit is not a shutoff instruction: a low-credit warning doesn’t mean service has stopped. After that, a Standard wallet at zero pauses only uploads that take stored content past 1 GB and requests past the free 10,000; content already stored keeps playing, the dashboard keeps working, and no project is closed for its balance. Premium and Enterprise are never paused for their balance. The service reports any real operation error.

Advertising settlement

  • Paid ads spend purchased credits first, then ad-earned credits. Included, promotional and manually granted credits never pay for ads. Ordinary usage spends grants first, then purchased, then earned credits. There is no separate earnings wallet.
  • A buyer activates a campaign by accepting a current, time-limited quote. When a play is scheduled, its quoted price is held; the hold settles only for a completed, authorized play and is released if the play is skipped, interrupted or unreported.
  • The seller is credited the full quoted amount and pays the serving fee in the same settlement. screenRIG can change the default fees or apply an audited custom rate.
  • If a seller changes their rate, affected campaigns pause until the buyer accepts the new rate.
  • You can’t buy ads on your own network. Promote your own business with ordinary playlist content.
  • Completed plays are reported by the Player and checked against the ad decision. They are not measured audience impressions, and screen count is not a guaranteed impression count.

Bundles and payment terms

  • Standard’s extra credits are optional prepaid bundles of $10, $50, $100 and $1,000. Standard never sends an invoice.
  • Premium and Enterprise are invoiced one year in advance, and extra usage follows the agreed billing terms. The public rate card doesn’t create a paid support agreement. Read the service terms.

08Questions

Pricing questions

Can I keep using screenRIG for free?
Yes. screenRIG is free. Pay only if you want more: more than 50 screens, people to talk to, contract terms, custom work or a lot of storage. Standard includes up to 50 screens, free downloads, 1 GB of storage and 10,000 agent requests a month. Image generation is billed separately.
Do paid tiers get better rates or more features?
No. Same product, same usage rates on every plan. Paid plans add support, more screens, longer event history and included usage. Enterprise adds an MSA, SLA and a dedicated customer success manager.
What happens if my agent runs up a bill?
On Standard, you decide: extra usage is optional prepaid credit, never an invoice. Until 1 January 2027, midnight America/Los_Angeles, usage past the allowance is free within reason too, and remaining credit is not a shutoff instruction. Once the launch period ends, uploads past 1 GB need credit, and content already stored keeps playing. Premium and Enterprise overage follows the agreed billing terms.
How are screens and kiosks metered?
There is no per-screen fee. Screens download as often as they need and downloads are free. The cost tracks what you store, so a 50-screen fleet with one 2 GB library costs $0.14 a month. Agent requests and billed events are metered. Messages to and from screens are free.
Is image generation included?
No. Image generation is metered separately, by token. Quality affects the token count, and each generation reports what it cost.
Where do I start?
Tell your agent to install the official plugin using the Start guide. Open the Player web app on your screen and give your agent the pairing code. screenRIG is free. Pay only if you want more.
Can I resell screenRIG?
Yes. Resellers put every customer on one reseller plan: usage pools into one monthly bill at a reseller discount, and one partner console runs every account, under the reseller’s brand if they choose. See the Reseller Program →
Who pays what when an ad plays?
The advertiser pays the quoted price for each completed play. The seller receives that amount minus the screenRIG serving fee: 30 percent on Standard, 20 percent on Premium and 10 percent on Enterprise.
