  1. You

Put tonight's specials on the TV behind the bar. Fish and chips 14, the burger 16, soup of the day 7. Big type on a dark background, and switch to the brunch menu at 10 on weekends.

  2. Agent

Done. Tonight's specials are on the bar TV, and the brunch menu takes over at 10 on Saturday and Sunday. I used a ready-made menu app, so changing a price is one sentence.

The dishes and prices here are made up. You describe the result in plain words and Claude does the work: no editor to learn, no templates to fit your menu into.

The TV runs the screenRIG Player, an app that shows a code you read to Claude. The Player runs on low-cost signage sticks and on TVs with Google TV or Android TV built in. It also runs on the Amazon Signage Stick, Apple TV, Macs, Windows PCs, a Raspberry Pi, BrightSign players and Samsung and LG signage displays. Pick the one you have on Downloads.

Video downloads to the device first and plays from its own storage, so nothing buffers. It plays up to 4K on Android, the Amazon Signage Stick and Raspberry Pi 5.

200+ ready-made apps

Ask for a menu, a queue, the weather, a schedule or a board of key numbers, and Claude places a ready-made app for it. There are more than 200, in nine styles, and most take live data. Browse the apps.

06 Your documents, sheets, email and calendar

Your documents, sheets, email and calendar

Claude works with the documents, sheets, email and calendar you have already connected to it. It reads what it needs with its own access and builds the screen from it, so the menu can come from your sheet and the welcome board from your calendar.

  1. You

Every morning, put today's meetings from my calendar on the reception TV, and keep the welcome board for visitors up the rest of the day.

  2. Agent

Done. Reception shows today's meetings, and the welcome board runs between them. I read your calendar with my own access, so it stays private. Only what is on the screen goes to the TV, and I will refresh it each morning.

Ask for a routine and your agent changes the screen when the data behind it changes.

07 Set it up

Set it up

Run this in your terminal, then start Claude Code and ask for your first screen:

Terminal
claude plugin marketplace add https://github.com/screenrig/plugin.git --scope user && claude plugin install screenrig@screenrig --scope user

Already in Claude Code 2.1.275 or later? /plugin install screenrig --marketplace screenrig/plugin does it in one step. Then install the Player on your TV from Downloads, launch it and read its code to Claude. The whole path is in Set up screenRIG in Claude Code.

Publishing reports whether the screen is actually playing the new content, and Claude can ask the screen for a screenshot to look at it.

Next: want live rows on the screen? Display a Google Sheet on a TV shows how Claude keeps a table current.
