# Campus signage that keeps itself current

> Canonical HTML: https://screenrig.ai/use-cases/campus/

Priya runs campus IT. She asks her ChatGPT dot once, and every morning the screen outside each room shows that room’s schedule. Commencement streams live, and a shelter-in-place alert reaches every north-campus screen in one sentence.

## Classroom schedule displays that update every morning

The demo, scene by scene. Priya asks once, in ChatGPT, and her dot keeps the room signs current between conversations.

1. **Today in Room 204.** The screen outside Room 204 shows today’s classes, with the next one highlighted.
2. **The old way.** Departments email PDFs, someone updates 30 screens by hand, and room signs go stale.
3. **Ask once.** Priya tells her dot: “Every morning, read the room calendars and put today’s schedule on the screen outside each room.” Her dot reads the Google calendars with the access she already gave it, makes one schedule image per room and publishes each to its own screen.
4. **The next morning, nobody asks.** A new message from her dot appears in the ChatGPT thread: “Today’s room schedules are up,” with screenshots attached.

## Live streams and emergency alerts on screens

Campus events go live on every screen in a building, and an alert takes over a whole part of campus until you clear it.

5. **Stream commencement live.** “Stream the commencement live to every screen in the student union and the library for the next two hours, with today’s events running alongside.” The screenshots that come back show the ceremony playing.
6. **Back on their own.** After two hours, the screens return to their normal content. If the feed drops, a fallback image holds the screen.
7. **Severe weather takeover.** “Severe weather. Put shelter-in-place on every north-campus screen until I clear it.” Every screen flips, and a grid of screenshots comes back.
8. **Clear it.** “Clear it.” Every screen returns to its room schedule on its own.

## Campus digital signage features

More of what campus IT runs from its agent.

- **Live streams of campus events.** Streams play on every screen you name, with a fallback image if the feed drops.
- **Takeovers by building.** Timed, or held until you clear them.
- **Schedules in each screen’s timezone.** Every screen switches on its own clock.
- **Screenshots across campus.** Proof from one hallway or every building.
- **Offline alerts.** Hear when a screen drops, before anyone walks past a dark one.
