# Request rate is too high

HTTP 429 · `rate_limited`

## What it means

The API answers with HTTP 429 Too Many Requests and an `application/problem+json` document when the condition is Request rate is too high. The document's `type` member is `https://screenrig.ai/problems/rate-limited`, the address of this page, and its `code` member is `rate_limited`.

## What to do

Wait for the retry interval the response gives (Retry-After, retry_after_seconds in the CLI), then retry the same request. Do not retry sooner.

## Player action

The Player action class is `retry_backoff`: Retry the same request on the backoff schedule, never sooner than Retry-After.
