# Playlist format does not match the screen's video wall

## What it means

The API answers with HTTP 409 Conflict and an `application/problem+json` document when the condition is Playlist format does not match the screen's video wall. The document's `type` member is `https://screenrig.ai/problems/playlist-format-mismatch`, the address of this page, and its `code` member is `playlist_format_mismatch`.

## What to do

A playlist with a format binds only to a screen whose wall has the same shape: displays, arrangement, and portrait panels. Set the screen's wall to that shape (PATCH /api/screens/{id}), or choose a playlist whose format matches. A playlist without a format binds to any screen.
