## Data and privacy

This card uses its configured properties and live card data.

De-identified: a bay, a triage level and the arrival time, never a name or an identifier.

## Properties

For theme, background, accent and position, see [Common properties](/docs/cards/#common-properties).

Set static properties in `params`. Bind `data` to a project card data key for live values; that document holds only dynamic properties. Without a data key, put the complete configuration in `params`. Nested rows describe the contents of their parent property.

### Static properties

| Name | Type | Default | Values and limits | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `title` | string | `"Emergency department"` | maxLength: `40` | |
| `bayLabel` | string | `"Bay"` | maxLength: `12` | Put before a short bay, so "4" reads "Bay 4". |
| `timeZone` | string, null | `null` | | IANA zone; null uses the screen's zone. |
| `bays` | array | `[]` | maxItems: `60` | The department's bay labels, set once (Resus, 8 West, T3): only these labels are shown as written. A patient in any other bay shows as Unlisted bay, with their level and wait, and is counted. Left empty, a bay is shown only when it is up to 6 letters, digits or - with at least one digit. |
| `sort` | string | `"bay"` | `"bay"`, `"triage"`, `"wait"` | bay: as listed. triage: most urgent first. wait: longest wait first. |
| `targets` | array | `[0,15,30,60,120]` | minItems: `5`; maxItems: `5` | Minutes a waiting patient of triage level 1 to 5 can wait before the card marks the wait as over. |

### Dynamic properties

| Name | Type | Default | Values and limits | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `patients` | array | `[]` | minItems: `0`; maxItems: `40` | The department. De-identified: a bay, a triage level and the arrival time, never a name or an identifier. |
| `patients[].bay` | string | | minLength: `1`; maxLength: `12`; Required | The bay label. Shown as written when it is in the card's `bays` list (or, with no list, up to 6 letters, digits or - with a digit); any other label shows as Unlisted bay. |
| `patients[].triage` | integer | | minimum: `1`; maximum: `5`; Required | Triage level, 1 most urgent. |
| `patients[].arrived` | string | | maxLength: `32`; Required | Arrival, ISO 8601 with an offset (or wall time in the screen's zone). |
| `patients[].state` | string | `"waiting"` | `"waiting"`, `"in-treatment"`, `"results"`, `"admit"` | waiting: awaiting care. in-treatment: with the care team. results: waiting for tests or imaging. admit: admitted, waiting for a bed. |
| `footnote` | string | `""` | maxLength: `140` | |
